Whether you're a sports enthusiast or just want to relax and unwind, the Haut Pays Grassois' unspoilt countryside and sumptuous landscapes await you. Because there's no shortage of nature-based activities right next door.

Activities

Just a few kilometers away is the Monts d'Azur reserve at Thorenc, home to wild bison, deer, roe deer and wild boar. A visit to this site will enchant you and provide an exceptional adventure for young and old alike.

Closer still, at Parc de la Moulière in the commune of Caille, from April onwards, you can take part in the tree adventure course, with its 85 workshops spread over 4 courses of increasing difficulty, its fabulous 470-meter-long zip line, or try your hand at the incredible via souterrata (from age 10), which takes you to the heart of the earth on a sporting via ferrata-type course.

The chairlift will take you up to the Audibergue, from where, on a clear day, you'll have an admirable view of the Bay of Cannes.

In summer, mountain bikers will find trails for all levels at La Moulière, and mountain bikes (including electric-assist bikes) can be rented on site, giving you the chance to enjoy a ride on the Audibergue ridge, with its unique view over the Mediterranean coast to the mountains on the Italian border. AUDILOC also rents out electrically-assisted mountain bikes at l'Audibergue (04-93-70-64-10).

In winter, as soon as the first snow falls, our guests will appreciate being a 20-minute drive from the Gréolières les Neiges ski resort, with its 11 lifts and 30 kilometers of pistes.

The resort also offers a trapper's area, some twenty kilometers of marked snowshoeing trails, and for cross-country skiers, the largest Nordic center in the southeast, with trails winding through a coniferous forest at altitudes of between 1400 and 1540 meters.

Last but not least, if you're a keen hiker, you'll be delighted by the diversity of the landscapes that were very early occupied by man, surprised by their alternating ruggedness and gentleness, and seduced by the richness of a generous nature that once fed its inhabitants. Along the way, you'll come across the remains of a few terraces, evidence of land that was once farmed, the presence of a hamlet, a simple house, or a borie, a dry-stone building that sheltered shepherds.

From Casa Arnera, you can walk to the ruins of Castellaras or Caille via the Crêtes, or climb Montagne de l'Audibergue or Lac de Thorenc via the Col de la Baïsse and the forest. But there are many other possibilities, and you can get an idea by consulting the randoxygènes guides published by the Alpes-Maritimes department and available on the DEPARTEMENT06.FR website
On the same site, you can also find out about the proposed itineraries for cycle touring, as our region is a little paradise for enthusiasts of this sport.

Treat yourself

There are a number of restaurants in the area offering excellent value for money.

In the Audibergue resort, of course, there's the Godille restaurant, which in its mountain setting offers equally generous cuisine and the advantage of being open in the evenings. And the restaurant Le Montagnard, where you'll be welcomed with a smile and treated to tasty meats.

Whether you're a sportsman or not, there's plenty to marvel at in this high Grasse region, from the scenic beauty of the Gorges du Loup to the hilltop villages of Gourdon, Cipières and Gréolières.

Breathtaking landscapes

The world-famous Gorges du Verdon, Europe's largest canyon and the second largest in the world after the Colorado, attracts thousands of tourists every year.

The breathtaking scenery of limestone plateaus, sheer cliffs and rugged mountains is well worth the trip.

The charming village of Moustiers Sainte Marie, protected by its star suspended between two rocks, blends into the mineral scenery, while the blue lake of Sainte-Croix forms a striking color contrast not to be missed.
